Brand Identity and Website Design for Lactation Consultant

Ainslie reached out to us when she was starting her new Lactation Consultancy in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her desire was simple: don’t make it boring.

Typically when we look around at the Lactation Consultant or Breastfeeding Support industry, we see the same thing. Soft fonts, neutral and pastel colour palettes, and illustrations of clouds, breasts in some sort or bottles. Essentially - branding that could put you to sleep.

What we wanted to do with House of Milk was bring the joy and liveliness back into breastfeeding. While it’s a trying a time, there is also so much beauty and happiness in the process too. So many other brands highlight the difficulty with their use of the softness in branding, we however went the other route.

The colour palette we chose has richness, luxury and a sense of artfulness throughout the brand. Paired with the typography choices, we can see Ainslie’s 10+ years of Midwifery experience come through. The illustrations we created accent the unique-ness of her brand and her approach.
