Brittany from Social Shift Wellness reached out to us she felt like her previous website didn’t represent their brand. Their site was very clinical, with heavy use of white backgrounds and cold stock images. It felt clunky, and out of date and ultimately didn’t showcase the difference in therapy and counselling practise that they have.

After booking in for a Website Design project, we chatted about the strategy of their new site and how we can bring their mission of making mental health care more accessible to their online space. Because they are a collective of therapists, counsellors and social workers, we needed an easy way to display 10+ individuals. Searching for a good fit in a mental health provider is overwhelming, so we added in a custom feature where site visitors can filter out the type of therapist they are looking for based on demographic, specialty/areas of focus, or their designation. This will also help cut down on emails with those looking for a good fit, and instead provides them with the option to view all of the collective members right on their website.

We created custom backgrounds and textures to bring further warmth to the website design, integrated an inquiry form directly to the site for those who would like assistance finding a good match, and eliminated any basic stock photography to ensure the site visitors get a real-life feel for who Social Shift Wellness is.
