The Rise of Personal Branding: Make Marketing Easier, Connect Faster & Build a Community of Raving Clients

One truth we ALL know: the online business landscape changes FAST.

And if you don’t learn to roll with it, to adapt, then you’ll very much be left behind.

I see so many business owners in the marketing and brand space reporting about personal branding being on the rise, which we already knew.

Consumers need more connection and deeper trust before they sign up for your offers now. Which means you need to be bringing your best-fit clients into your world in a more personal way.

Maybe you read that and felt your anxiety spike, but let allow me to comfort you and say:

It’s not as hard as it may sound.

Building a Personal Brand makes marketing a lot easier.

Think — showing up as you are in the day to day. Less curated feeds. Longer form content. No more perfectionism and ‘trendy’ minimal homes.

You want to be inviting people into your little world, by showing them the day to day and behind the scenes of your life. This doesn’t mean spilling the tea on the latest drama between you and that crazy aunt of yours.

Think personal x professional.

You’re integrating the similiarties between you and your best-fit clients. Things like:

  • The habits you do on the daily, that they aspire to incorporate into their own lives.

  • Pieces of your origin story that they resonate with

  • Focuses on single things that you include in your offers, why you include them and how it’ll benefit them

Pivoting to a more personal brand allows you to break down the walls of being polished everyday, and instead show up as the most authentic version of you.

The small personality quirks allow you to connect faster with your best-fit clients

You’re making Reels and talking on IG stories a lot harder than they need to be. If you’re cursing every time you have to market your business, then you need to restructure your brand strategy.

I’m all about helping brands feel lived in, because you can show up exactly as you are and market effortlessly, and attract your best-fit clients just by being you. (we do this with you in Brand Camp btw, go check it out here)

Your personality quirks are the little things you like/do/have that form fun connection pieces with your best-fit clients!

They could be Brand Associations , or lighter things like the music you listen to, movies you watch, fun hobbies or routines you have.

These are things you can film for b-roll footage, or incorporate as sounds within your reels or story posts. The goal of these is to lightly layer in more of who you are in a non-direct way. So you’re not speaking to the camera about how you love Adam Sandler movies, have a garden and some chickens and workout everyday while listening to Macklemore.

That’s not going to hook anyone in, but layering it in as non-direct ways will build further connection with your dream clients.

By doing this, you build a community of raving clients

All because they know you who are, they like you, and they trust you. And given you have a great client experience, they’re going to want to stay within your brand world and continue working with you in some capacity.

Repeat clients shows that you have value they can’t get from anyone else.

And by building up this community of best-fit clients, they’re going to shout your name in rooms full of people who are looking for you already.

The rise of personal branding is here, use it your advantage!
